The MiniTest FH Series gauge is a handheld, user-friendly material wall thickness gage that uses an advanced magnetic test method to make fast, accurate and repeatable wall thickness measurements of nonferrous materials.
Measurements are made when a magnetic probe is held on one side of the test material and a small steel target ball is placed on the opposite side. The target ball is attracted to the probe via the magnetic attraction principal. The probe's Hall effect sensor measures the distance between the probe tip and ball, resulting in a digital wall thickness reading.
This product has become an industry standard for plastic container manufactures.
It is also well suited for applications that are difficult or impossible to measure with ultrasonics.
