Top mount fingertip probes are suitable for applications where standard Fingertip probes are inconvenient. They are suitable for testing uncoated materials (0-1st echo mode).
We suggest choosing smaller diameter probes for small diameter tubes and larger diameter probes for tanks and pressure vessels.
Use higher frequency probes for thinner materials and pitting detection. Lower frequency for penetrating thick and noisy materials.
The 5 MHz, 1/4" is the most popular and the standard probe supplied with most Dakota instruments.
Probes listed have a 4 foot "potted" cable. For applications where cable breakage is an issue we offer probes with microdot connectors and replaceable cables. Special stainless steel sheathed cables are also available for the most arduous tests conditions.
Extended housing probes are available for high wear applications.
